To determine exactly what went wrong in a traffic accident, I’d like to measure events at regular intervals before the event: one minute, two minutes, and so on. But once that is done, would it be better to apply a regression model or a random forest model? Is there an accepted way to analyzing accidents in the insurance or automotive industries?
