Banning the Use of Social Media or of Allowing Employees to Admit Their Place of Employment on Social Media?

With so many scandals surrounding employee usage of social media (particularly Twitter), especially in the entertainment industry, could there emerge a trend of companies either banning employee use of social media or of requiring employees to keep their place of employment out of their social media bios? I don’t know if this could even hold up in court if someone challenged it, but I wonder sometimes why I haven’t heard of (certain) companies even trying.
